Welcome to Horn & Shield Handmade! We are a mother-daughter run business. We love to work with our hands and create items that bring beauty into your life! From paintings and drawings, to bath and body products, to rosaries and jewelry, and so much more, we lovingly wish to bring you joy when you experience any of our products. We are happy to bring a selection of products to your home or meet you in the area to shop. Follow us on social media to find festivals and fairs where we will be selling in person. Visit our Shop Local page to find out about the retail shops that currently carry our products, as well! Want our products but don’t live in the Atlanta area? We can absolutely ship a package to you! bath & body products
Our cold-process hand and body soaps are made using ingredients you’ll recognize, designed to make your skin feel good. We make small batches of soaps, so each one is unique and limited edition, never quite the same style! We strive to create soap that smells amazing, looks beautiful, and feels great on your skin. Our fragrances are paraben-free and detergent-free, and we use mica and natural oxides for colorants depending on the style of bar we are creating. We strive to make products we will happily use every day and love to share with you.
In today’s world, in order to make a claim about the benefits of a product, the FDA and a variety of government agencies require studies to be submitted to support the claim of the benefit. Thus – our products, and the ingredients in them, are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. All we can tell you is our personal experiences with our products, and invite you to try them out for yourself to feel the difference in your skin, we know we’ve seen a difference since using our products.
Due to the handmade nature, each bar of soap looks slightly different, but all are beautiful and feel great. Soaps void of detergents are recommended to rest on a tray to dry out between uses, so take a look at our gift kits and add-ons for various trays and other helpful bath products to go with your new soap!

Recently, we also felt called to begin creating rosaries and other items to be used as sacramentals. This blossomed from a personal wish for rosaries using gemstones, vintage beads, metal, and wood, rather than plastic and glass that are more commonly found. Each rosary is one of a kind and all profits from rosaries sold are put towards the creation of more rosaries, which benefits the Carmelite Monastery of the Sacred Hearts in Colorado Springs, CO, where we purchase many of the crucifixes and centerpieces, and our local parish’s guild, where we create & gift rosaries.
